Georgetown Sunset Cinema


Georgetown’s Sunset Cinema is the rare outdoor movie series that launches at the end of summer, instead of in June or July. The setting in Waterfront Park, with views of the Key Bridge, Kennedy Center and, uh, Rosslyn high-rises, is one of the most atmospheri­c in town. “The Goonies” gets the six-film series underway, followed by “Encanto” and “Bridesmaid­s.” Nearby restaurant­s offer picnic deals, including 15 percent discounts at Pizzeria Paradiso and Chaia.

When: Tuesdays at sunset through Sept. 6.
