Police report was not new

The findings concerning how the Louisville police operate are no surprise [“DOJ finds abuses by Louisville police,” front page, March 9]. This is not the first time the department has been under the microscope.

It’s time to stop being shocked with stories about American policing that tell us what we already know unless we intend to use every resource to change it. Gayle Fisher-stewart, Takoma Park
