Redskins’ Thompson ruled out against Tampa Bay
ASHBURN | Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Thursday running back Chris Thompson (rib) will not play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Thompson will miss his fourth game this season. He missed last Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons and has not practiced this week. Thompson suffered an initial rib injury in Week 5, which kept him out of two straight games. The 28-yearold returned Oct. 28 against the New York Giants — only to suffer another rib injury on the opposite side.
Thompson has 28 catches for 209 yards and has rushed for 113 yards on 26 carries.
