Man arrested in bus stop shooting that wounded 5
A man has been arrested in a shooting that wounded 5 people, including a child, at a D.C. bus stop.
WTOP-FM reported that Ronnell Rashickle Offutt, 30, was arrested Wednesday and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
Metropolitan Police didn’t immediately release a motive.
Police said he was armed with a handgun when he walked past the crowded bus stop near Pennsylvania Avenue on Monday night and fired into the crowd, shooting four men. The child was cut by broken glass.
All five were treated at hospitals with injuries that were not life threatening.
