Capitalizing on atrocity

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor - AL QUARTARARO Virginia Beach, Virginia

a good crisis go to waste.” That is exactly what these elected scumbags do time and again: Capitalize on the criminal behavior of the very few to deny the overwhelming vast majority its constitutional rights.

Establishment Republicans always cave to the demands of the minority (hiding under the code word “bipartisanship”) while the Democrats never compromise on their outrageous assault on the constitutional rights of the people. You’d think politicians would have learned the lessons of history after King George tried his gun ban back in the 1760s.

I hope Mr. Graham and his cohorts in Congress are ready to fund a civil war should the government ever try to take the 300-million-plus guns away from the 100-million-plus lawful gun owners in America. I know of no lawful gun owner who will surrender their constitutionally protected rights to any government decree.
