Westworld
It’s a whole new Westworld. In its inaugural season, the sci-fi series based on a Michael Crichton novel immersed viewers in the Wild West virtual-reality theme park. There, the inhabitants—both human “visitors” and AI “hosts”—interacted as if in a scripted fantasy, until they didn’t. Hosts, such as Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores, awoke to their lot, while visitors, including Ed Harris’ Man in Black, started gunning for the park’s secrets. One rebellion later, it’s revolvers down and katanas up for a second season that will cut between Westworld and neighboring Shogun World. Sunday, April 22, at 9 p.m., HBO
