Second mystery death: Protesters gathered outside the home of prominent Democratic donor Ed Buck this week after a black man died there for the second time in two years. Investigators have not released the name of the man or the cause of death. In July 2017, Gemmel Moore, 26, was found naked on a mattress in Buck’s living room, dead of a methamphetamine overdose. Buck, now 64, an entrepreneur, political activist, and fundraiser for LGBT causes, was considered a suspect, but no charges were filed. He maintains his innocence in both cases, with his attorney saying the latest man was an “old friend” who ingested drugs before arriving at Buck’s home. Yet protesters say Buck lures men to his home and injects them with crystal meth. “It was only a matter of time before this happened again,” said Jasmyne

Cannick, an activist who’s worked with Moore’s family.
