Smart uses for crystallized honey

- In tea: In a breakfast bowl: On toast: For baking: As an exfoliant: Real Simple

If you like honey in your tea, you’ll also like crystallized honey. Crystallization has no effect on taste—except that it slightly enriches it.

When you top your oatmeal or yogurt with crystallized honey, it adds “an addictive crunch.”

Crystallized honey is easier to spread on toast because it doesn’t drip everywhere. Combine it with goat cheese and cut fruit for a “mess-free” sweet-andsavory snack.

Short on sugar? Crystallized honey is a fine substitute when you adjust for its sweetness, using roughly 75 percent of the volume that’s called for.

The slightly coarse texture of crystallized honey makes it effective as a scrub for your scalp, face, and body. And honey is a humectant, “which means it helps lock in moisture.”
