Shooting spree: An angry bar customer and another man allegedly shot and killed four people and wounded another five this week inside a Kansas City pub. Police say Hugo VillanuevaMorales, 29, and Javier Alatorre, 23, sprayed bullets into a crowd of some 40 people around 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Tequila KC, a private club popular with the city’s Latino community, although the attack is not believed to have been racially motivated. Villanueva-Morales, who reportedly has a history of bar altercations and was arrested in an incident in August, had been ejected from Tequila KC earlier that night. He returned with Alatorre— who was already facing three unrelated felony charges in Missouri and had been released on bond in September—and apparently started firing. Both men face four counts of first-degree murder, though Villanueva-Morales was still at large at press time. All of the victims were Latino men, and two were Mexican nationals.
