Poll watch

As the Supreme Court starts a new term, 54% of Americans say they approve of the way the court “is handling its job,” including 73% of Republicans and 38% of Democrats. 42% disapprove of the court’s job performance. 47% say the court’s ideological stance is “about right.” 33% say it is too conservative, and 17% think it is too liberal.
