DIY disinfecti­on, after a Michigan library asked that people please stop microwavin­g books to try to kill the coronaviru­s, since it causes the books’ metal radio-frequency tags to “catch fire.” Queen Elizabeth II, whose Balmoral estate is being used as an “outdoor toilet” by hikers while public facilities are closed by the pandemic. “If you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go,” estate officials said, but please “bury feces in a shallow hole and replace the turf.”
