Dirty Diana
Frank talk about sex is far from taboo in podcasting, and “now the big guns have arrived,” said Fiona Sturges in the Financial Times. Demi Moore is the producer and star of this new fictional series about an unhappily married middle-aged professional with a secret side hustle: recording and broadcasting women’s erotic confessions. Judging Dirty Diana by its first episode alone, “the best I can say is that it’s not entirely awful,” because the show aspires to build empathy for its female characters while also delivering the promised titillation (which only made me laugh—“but, then again, I am very childish”). Moore is “perfect as Diana,” a woman whose pastime provides a badly needed release, said Morgan McNaught in AVClub.com. And the screen star has gathered an impressive roster of guests, including Melanie Griffith and Lena Dunham.
Dirty Diana is, essentially, “a summer beach read for your ears”—“a great entry point” for anyone intrigued by audio erotica.
