Three reliably funny actors have finally found a vehicle for showcasing their rapport, said Natalie Jarvey in The Hollywood Reporter. Old friends Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes have created a weekly interview series with a twist: On each episode, one of the three brings the guest and the other two learn the guest’s identity as the conversation begins. That guarantees spontaneity, whether the guest is a Hollywood personality, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, or Los Angeles Philharmonic conductor Gustavo Dudamel. “With such affable personalities at the helm, quick wit abounds,” said Becca James in NYMag.com. Hayes chose comedian Dax Shepard as his first guest, and the conversation winds from the serious (alcoholism) to the silly (how many times Shepard is called “Kristen Bell’s husband”). Though the hosts “don’t reinvent the wheel,” the show has “endless potential for unfiltered access to their famous friends and fun times.”
