Vigilante shooting: A police shooting of an unarmed black man in the back sparked protests and violence this week, and a 17-year-old was charged with murder after he allegedly mounted a vigilante attack on a crowd of Black Lives Matter protesters that left two dead. Kyle Rittenhous­e allegedly opened fire with an AR-15 on demonstrat­ors protesting the police shooting of Jacob Blake in front of his three sons after he pulled away from them and tried to get in his car. 500 cops and National Guardsmen used tear gas to drive protesters from the county courthouse toward a gas station, where they were met by members of an armed militia. Earlier, police reportedly thanked militia members for their help in defending the city against looters. Three cops are now on administra­tive leave, and Blake’s family says the 29-year-old father of five is paralyzed after being shot seven times in the back.
