■■■ A police chief in rural Arkansas has resigned after he called for the mass execution of “Marxist Democrats.” Stung by President Trump’s defeat, Chief Lang Holland said online he was recruiting “several hundred” like-minded souls “to fight our way into the Congress and arrest every Democrat who has participated in this coup. Take no prisoners leave no survivors.”

■■■ Students at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine have written an anti-racist addendum to the Hippocratic Oath. The new text includes a commitment to “prioritize understanding each patient’s narrative, background, and experiences” and to become “an ally to those of low socioeconomic status, the BIPOC community, the LGBTQIA+ community, womxn/women, differently abled individuals, and other underserved groups.”
