-

Pelé

Soccer has never known another star to match Pelé. A member of Brazil’s national team from age 17, he played as though the ball answered his every thought while leading Brazil to three World Cups across a tumultuous period in the nation’s history. Superman & Lois

Not even Superman finds it easy to be a super dad. Tyler Hoechlin, who has played the Man of Steel in several Supergirl episodes, now assumes the role for a series in which he returns in his Clark Kent guise to Smallville, the Kansas town where he was raised. He and wife Lois Lane, played again by Elizabeth Tulloch, are seeking a more stable family life while their children are still teenagers. And they still don’t know that Dad’s a superhero. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m., the CW Ginny & Georgia

The latest series to try to recapture the special magic of Gilmore Girls makes the sober teen daughter biracial and her young mom far more of a handful. Brianne Howey plays Georgia, a flirty blond Southerner who’s running from the law when she moves Ginny and her younger brother to a small New England town. Newcomer Antonia Gentry co-stars. Available for streaming Wednesday, Feb. 24, Netflix

Allen v. Farrow

Almost three decades after Woody Allen was accused of sexually abusing his adopted 7-yearold daughter, this four-part documentary series argues that Allen, who denies the allegation, has largely controlled the story that has nevertheless clouded his career ever since. Filmmakers Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick won interviews with Allen’s then partner, Mia Farrow, and Farrow’s daughter, Dylan, who has shared video clips of herself at 7 describing the event. The series, following a Feb. 21 debut, adds new episodes each week. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m., HBO 2021 Golden Globe Awards

Awards season finally kicks off, with a Globes ceremony split between coasts, Tina Fey emceeing at New York City’s Rainbow Room and Amy Poehler presiding at the Beverly
