Trump grand jury: New York prosecutors have convened a special grand jury that could decide whether to indict former President Donald Trump and other executives at his company, the Trump Organization, on criminal charges, the Associated Press and The Washington Post reported this week. Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. has led a two-year investigation focused partly on whether the Trump Organization inflated property values to get loans and undervalued them to lower its taxes. Trump called the seating of the grand jury “a continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt in American history.” New York Attorney General Letitia James and Vance also are pursuing criminal investigations targeting the Trump Organization’s chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, reportedly hoping he will give evidence against Trump. Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen said Weisselberg could be a dangerous witness against Trump and his company. “Every single penny in and every penny out went through Allen Weisselberg’s desk,” Cohen said.
