■■■ The Yale School of Medicine is distancing itself from a lecture it hosted by New York psychiatrist Dr. Aruna Khilanani, in which she said that “white people make my blood boil,” and that she’s had fantasies of “unloading a revolver into the head of any white person.” Yale said that her comments are “antithetical to the values of the school.” But Khilanani said she had “used provocation as a tool for real engagement.”

■■■ Officials with an American Legion post in Ohio cut a veteran’s microphone when he said freed Black slaves organized the first Memorial Day celebration. Lt. Col. Barnard Kemter said he wanted “to educate people” about the key role Blacks played, but event organizer Cindy Suchan said that portion of the speech was “not relevant to our program.”
