Should I prepare for more crises?

The pandemic isn’t actually over yet, and given the challenges of variants and the elusive nature of herd immunity, Covid-19 may well flare up again in the future, to say nothing of other crises that could hit, from extreme weather events to cyberattacks. Companies with good, nimble contingency plans were the ones in the best position to withstand the challenges of the past year, while those that had no contingency plans, or saw contingencies merely as annoying line items in annual budgets, suffered greatly. Being ready for the next crisis may be even more important. Most businesses were not well prepared for this crisis, and clients understood that. At this point, though, we’ve had a lot of time to improve, so your customers and business partners may expect a much higher level of readiness in the future.
