■■■ A New Jersey school district is removing the names of all holidays from the school calendar so as not to offend anyone. The decision came after a raucous public meeting about the board’s decision to replace “Columbus Day” with “Indigenous People’s Day.” Every holiday will now be listed as a “day off” so “we don’t have to have anyone with hurt feelings,” explained board member Dorene Roche.

■■■ A Nevada conservative group wants teachers to wear body cameras to ensure they don’t teach “critical race theory.” Karen England, founder of the Nevada Family Alliance, says she’s received reports of teachers “contradicting the lessons taught by parents at home,” particularly on race, and that bodycams would create “a record that could be viewed by appropriate parties.”
