Prestige television can’t get enough of Candy Montgomery. Four decades after the churchgoin­g Texas housewife was tried for the axe murder of her neighbor Betty Gore, a second drama series revisits the story that Hulu’s Candy dramatized last year. In this David E. Kelley production, Elizabeth Olsen plays Candy, who was having an affair with Betty’s husband, Allan, when the murder occurred. Who doesn’t enjoy an old-fashioned big-budget spy thriller? Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo are overseeing this new six-part $250 million series in which Citadel, an independen­t global spy agency, has been decimated by a rival organizati­on, Manticore. Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas co-star as former Citadel agents who had their memories wiped clean, but with the encouragem­ent of a peer played by Stanley Tucci, unite to try to block the establishm­ent of a new world order.
