■ Americans’ median net wealth increased during the pandemic at the highest rate on record, rising 37 percent from 2019 to 2022 to $192,900. For the top 10 percent of households, the median wealth climbed 26 percent to $3.8 million.

■ The FDA last week ordered vape-maker Vuse Alto to stop sales of its menthol flavored e-cigarettes. Their menthols are the best-selling vapes on the market, making up $1.6 billion of a total of $5.5 billion in ecigarette sales last year.
