Forest Hills Church

Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to worship this Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Guest speaker Ethan Penner will deliver the sermon this Sunday. The adult Sunday School Class begins at 9:45 a.m. and Prayer and Bible Study on Wednesdays is at 12:30 p.m.

Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista

Saturday, June 18, the Presbyteri­an Men’s Fellowship will meet at 8 a.m. in Fellowship Hall for breakfast followed by a program. The cost is $5 plus a canned food item for Helping Hands. Please sign up at the Informatio­n Center and invite a friend.

The community is invited to a traditiona­l worship service on Sunday, June 19, at 10 a.m. A nursery attendant is available. New friends are always welcome.

On the third Sunday of each month, funds are collected for the Cents-Ability Hunger Program. This Presbyteri­an Women’s mission program helps fight against world hunger and poverty. The collection container is located in the connector hallway.

The Ladies’ Birthday Luncheon group will gather at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 24, to celebrate those having a birthday during the month. Please sign up at the Informatio­n Center to learn the location of this month’s luncheon.

The church is located at 1880 Forest Hills Blvd. Sunday Worship Service is held at 10 a.m. Christian Ed Classes meet at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome. Bella Vista Lutheran Church

Saturday, June 25, at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., the musical, “The Home of the Brave,” will be presented at Bella Vista Lutheran Church. This is a free concert, but tickets have to be obtained online for either time. The church is located at 1990 Forest Hills Blvd. The website is wwwbvluthe­ran.com.

The church choir is going to sing the national anthem at the Naturals game on July 1. Tickets for this can be purchased for $7 at the church office.

The Shepherds Food pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are in great need of healthy cereal, sugar, oil and flour. A container for donations is in the church narthex.

Grief Share classes continue on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. in the church library and are led by Dorothy Jones. Please call her with any questions.

Next month the Bella Vista Youth will be heading down to New Orleans for the National Youth Gathering. This is an event that happens every three years, providing wonderful learning sessions, Bible studies, hands-on activities, servant event projects and the Mass events at the end of each day.

The Sonshiners meet June 16 at 9 a.m. in classroom 3 and again at 2:30 p.m. at the Highland Rehab.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Sunday School starts at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 19. At 10:30 a.m., Pastor Paul Seal will be speaking on “Come, Let Us Reason Together,” with text taken from Isaiah 1:16-18. A Fellowship Meal, the Father’s Day Cookout, will follow the service. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided.

The church is at 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. The church office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, June 15, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of friendly volunteers. The 5:30 p.m. dinner will be hamburgers with all the trimmings, plus salad and dessert. Donations will be accepted, and the community is always welcome. The dinner is followed at 6:20 p.m. by singing, devotions and prayer for adults with activities also held for children. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available, and the community is invited.

Sunday, June 19, Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. Worship Service. Pastor Mark Voll’s message for Father’s Day is titled “Men: What God Made You to Be,” teaching and highlighti­ng from Scripture the special qualities and calling God has given to all men. Infant and toddler nursery and Children’s Church for kids are offered as well.

Tuesday, June 21, a men’s Bible study led by Dr. Ron Morris will meet at 7 p.m., and men from the community are always welcome. A ladies’ KniTTogeth­er ministry and the White Cross Women’s Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m.
