The Cherokee of Arkansas and Missouri Tribe will hold a tribal District 4 election at the Patrick Lynch Public Library, 206 S. McKenna, Poteau, Okla., from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Bring your member/voter card. Be sure to attend if you need a current card or want to submit a membership application. Feast of Tabernacles Celebration begins Sunday, Oct. 16, and runs through Saturday, Oct. 22, at the NWA Ministry Center, 2262 Forest Hills Blvd. in Bella Vista. From Oct. 16-21, the meeting time is 6:30 p.m. The meeting time is 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22. On Sunday, Oct. 23 and Monday, Oct. 24, the 6:30 meetings will be held at Word of Life Christian Center, 808 S.W. 14th St., Bentonville. Special guest speaker will be Mario Murillo with worship leader Jason Fowler. Morning gatherings will be at 9:30 Monday, Oct. 17 through Friday Oct. 21, at the ARK, 8030 LaCroix Rd. in Decatur. Food will be served.

The Artist Retreat Center presents a performance by Wes McGee. Making guitar music led to his interest in building guitars and working with a master luthier in Oklahoma City while attending college. McGee’s love for music has inspired him to share with others, and now he teachers music and builds and repairs instruments professionally. Saturday, Oct. 22
Ken Bonfield and Steve Davison will rekindle their national touring under the banner “Artistry of the Guitar” at 7:30 p.m. at the Artist Retreat Center. This is an in-the-round musical evening with the artists playing solos and duets while on stage together. The music will be far-ranging, from Celtic to classical, including blues, Folk, country and some good, ol’ Travis thumbstyle fingerpicking. As always, they will be played on some amazing instruments: Bonfield’s Alan Carruth 11-string harp guitar, high-string and baritone guitar, and Davison’s Tony Yamamoto 12-string and his Sheldon Schwartz Oracle. The Accident School reunion will be held at 11 a.m. at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. Accident was a rural school located northeast of Springdale; classes were held there from the 1870s until consolidation with Springdale in 1949. All former Accident School students, teachers, family and friends are invited. The museum is located at 118 W. Johnson Avenue in downtown Springdale. The Bella Vista Assembly of God Church will host its annual Chili and Potato Soup Dinner. Lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dinner will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The menu includes chili, potato soup, salad, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $3 for children between the ages of 5 and 12. There is no cost for children 4 and younger. Tickets are available at the church office in the administration building, south of the parking lot, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, at any of the banks on the corner of Arkansas Highways 279 and 340, or at the door. Proceeds will be used to support mission programs through the year. Bella Vista Assembly of God is located at 1771 Forest Hills Blvd., across from the Highlands Post Office.
