▲ The Bella Vista Public Library’s Traveling Library and Concordia are celebrating their one-year anniversary of partnership from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Concordia.
▲ People with Parkinson’s Disease and their caregivers are invited to attend the Parkinson’s Support Group of Bella Vista from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, Bella Vista. The informal monthly meetings provide a confidential opportunity to talk, laugh and cry about life with PD. The meetings provide a source of information and an opportunity to ask questions, meet new people and share solutions. The group is affiliated with the American Parkinson’s Disease Association (www. apdaparkinson. org). The meetings are free, and refreshments are provided. ▲ “Iron-Jawed Angels,” a 2004 HBO film about the American women’s suffrage movement in the 1910s starring Hillary Swank and Anjelica Huston, will be shown at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The free event is sponsored by Fayetteville Business and Professional Women. ▲ The Bella Vista Historical Museum will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the U.S. entering World War I in April 1917 at its annual meeting, open to the public, at 2 p.m. Retired history professor Brian Scott will speak on the impact in Arkansas of that event. The museum is located at the corner of Arkansas 71 and Kingsland Road, next door to the American Legion. Admission is free.
