Lutheran Church

Lenten worship services will be held at 6 p.m. each Wednesday evening. Prior to the service, a light supper will be served. Lenten services will be held each Wednesday until Easter.

The Celebratio­n Choir will present a spring concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 23, titled “The Risen Christ.” Choir rehearsals are at 10 a.m. on Saturdays.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are requesting donations of shampoo, body wash and toothbrush­es.

A casual, contempora­ry service is held each Saturday at 5:37 p.m. Sunday morning worship is at 8:30 a.m. for the traditiona­l service and 10:45 a.m. for the blended service. Presbyteri­an Church

Lenten Soup Suppers begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, in Fellowship Hall. Following supper and fellowship, a brief Lenten presentati­on will be held. Sign up at the informatio­n center each week.

A Lenten Study group will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16, and continue through April 6. Pastor Dennis and Pastor Liz will co-lead the study “Aging Matters — Finding Your Calling for the Rest of Your Life,” by R. Paul Stevens.

An Adult Study Group meets at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 16, in the parlor.

The community is invited to a traditiona­l worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. Christian Education classes for all ages meet at 8:30 a.m. A nursery attendant is available.

On March 19 and the third Sunday of each month, funds will be collected for the Cents-Ability Hunger Program to raise awareness of hunger and poverty locally and throughout the world. The collection container is located in the connector hallway.

New Wine Ministry

Everyone is welcome to the New Wine Ministry services every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. as Pastor Vincent Xavier ministers the Word. There will be coffee fellowship before and after the services.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. A potluck fellowship dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., there will be singing, devotions and prayer for adults with activities also held for children. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available.

Sunday, Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. worship service. Pastor Mark Voll will continue his sermon series titled “Life Applicatio­n from Romans.” This week's sermon title is “The One Act of Righteousn­ess” with a text of Romans 5:12-21. Infant and toddler nursery and Children's Church for kids are offered as well.

Tuesday, the Ladies' Bible Study titled “Prayer: Essential to a Fruitful Christian Life,” written and led by Joanne Morris, will be held at 9 a.m. A free study guide will be provided. At 7 p.m. a men's Bible study led by Dr. Ron Morris will meet. A ladies' KniTTogeth­er ministry and the White Cross Women's Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Sunday, the Rev. Elise Cowan presents “The Truth Will Set You Free.” The annual membership meeting takes place following the service and refreshmen­ts.

A Sunday morning Meditation Practices class takes place from 9 to 10 a.m. weekly to discuss the benefits of meditation, use of mantras, guided meditation, walking meditation, using the five senses and other practices.

Wednesday Evening Group Discussion and Meditation class will revolve around Charles Fillmore's metaphysic­al book “The Twelve Powers of Man.” This discussion is around the 12 expression­s of the divine power inherent in each of us. The “Power of Faith” will be followed with a 20-minute meditation.

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universali­sts adaptation of Jerome Berryman's book “Spirit Play” is the primary resource. The morning is structured based on the Montessori approach: the key elements are the classroom environmen­t and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

United Lutheran Church

Community Church

Come for worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Jeff Reed will be preaching Sunday. Adult Bible Study starts at 8 a.m. A staffed nursery is available as well as children's worship for ages 4-12.

The next Newcomers' Orientatio­n will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, in the parlor. Those interested in knowing more about Bella Vista Community Church are invited to attend.

All are welcome to come for Lenten Meditation­s and soup supper every Wednesday until April 5. Soup supper is from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. in McKay Hall, and Lenten Meditation follows in the sanctuary from 6:30 to 7 p.m. The cost of the supper is $3 per person and $5 per family. Summer Arts Camp is from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday-Friday, June 19-23, for children entering grades 1-6. Classes include hand chimes, guitar, line dancing, card making, watercolor collage, weaving, junk sculpture and more. The cost is $10 per student with scholarshi­ps available for families enrolling multiple children. St. Bernard Catholic Church

There will be bingo in the Parish Hall Thursday, March 16. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

Caring Friends, a grief share seminar, will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, March 17, in classroom 205. Each session will include a video, group discussion and personal study. There is no charge to participat­e. The class is open to anyone — not just St. Bernard members.

Saturday, March 18, there will be a St. Patrick's Day Dinner hosted by the Men's Club. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and are available at weekend Masses and at the parish office.

Knights of Columbus will hold the annual Lenten Fish Fries on March 24 and April 7. The menu will be catfish, potato salad, coleslaw, hush puppies and dessert. Tickets are required and may be purchased before and after Saturday and Sunday Mass and at the church office. The cost is $10 per person. The doors will be open at 5 p.m. for a social hour, and at 6 p.m. serving begins.

Mass is 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. on Sundays. Daily Mass is 8:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday Mass is at 5 p.m.

Bella Vista Baptist Church

Wednesdays, the evening meal begins at 4:45 p.m. Children's choirs meet at 5:30. The Wednesday Evening Prayer meeting is held at 5:45 in the old sanctuary. Youth activities Wednesdays start at 6 p.m. and AWANA meets at 6:15.

The Men's Prayer Breakfast, every Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall, is studying the book of Romans.

The Senior Adult Ministries hosts “Ice Cream and a Movie” at 6 p.m. the fourth Friday of the month.

Sign-up has started for Grief Share. Groups will meet Mondays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. or Tuesdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. This is a 13week program that starts March 20. Workbooks are $10. You don't have to go through the grieving process alone.

New Life Christian Church

New Life Christian Church offers three Sunday services: 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. The title of the new message series is “Identity Crises: Do You Know Who You Are?” New Life Kids programmin­g for children birth through fifth grade is offered in all three services.

New Life Christian Church will host Brother Yun, author of “The Heavenly Man,” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 17, in the church auditorium. Brother Yun was instrument­al in the developmen­t of the Christian house-church networks in China during the 1980s and '90s. This event is free to the public.

Seventh- and eighth-grade students will meet for “Emerge” from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sundays. “Engage” is designed especially for ninththrou­gh 12th-graders, who gather on Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m.

A new college-age ministry is held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday nights at the church with a dinner and Bible study.

The CaringHear­ts Ministry will be collecting food donations from March 19 to April 2 for the Bella Vista food banks: The Oasis and Shepherd's Pantry. Donations can be brought to church on Sunday or dropped off in the church office during the week.

First United Methodist Church

Lenten Worship Services will be held at 11:45 a.m. each Wednesday through April 12 in the Sanctuary, with a light luncheon immediatel­y following the service. Everyone is welcome.

Healthy Living is gathering from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays in Becker Hall. Midweek Manna meets in fellowship with a meal starting at 5:30 p.m. Suggested donations are $5 for adults, $3 for children under 10 and a family maximum of $15. Small group study and small craft and activity groups meet from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Childcare is available for infants and toddlers. Pre-K through sixth grade will learn Bible basics. Youth Life, grades 7-12, will meet in the Youth Room.

Friends Plus Healthy Living meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday mornings at Lake Bella Vista (the parking lot off of U.S. 71) to walk for about an hour. At 10:30 a.m., they meet in the Chapel.

Men's Emmaus has formed a new group and will be meeting at 8:30 a.m. each Tuesday in room 22.

Bazaar Craft Workshops will continue meeting from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday until the Oct. 7 Bazaar.
