Duane Charles Peterson

Duane Charles Peterson, 89, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at Highlands Health and Rehab in Bella Vista. He was born Feb. 9, 1928, in Axtell, Neb., to Edgar Emanual Peterson and Nettie Victoria Peterson.

He served in the U.S. Army and worked in the printing business.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Alan; and seven brothers and sisters, Donald, Harlan, Adaline, Ruth, Warren, Grace, and Shirley.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma; two sons, Ron (Kathy) Peterson and Larry (Debbie) Peterson; four daughters, Connie (Mike) Meier, Ruth Anne (Henry) Duquaine, Dawn (Dale) Winkler and Betty Eisenach; a stepson, Steve (Mary) Macauley; and stepdaughter, Sandy Macauley; and one sister, Wanda.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista with the Rev. Karen Fowler-Lindemulder officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Fayetteville National Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista or the charity of the donor’s choice.
