Village Bible Church

Pastor Mark Voll’s sermon title for this Memorial Day weekend service is “Retreat, Rest and Re-engage” with a text of Psalm 23.

Wednesday, May 23, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of the church’s friendly volunteers.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is in need of peanut butter and healthy cereals. It is also asking for the Best Choice bar codes which should be placed in a box by the mailboxes. Other items should be placed in a container in the church narthex.

The church is also collecting “shelf-stable” healthy drinks and snacks to be sent to the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter. A donation box is set up in the church narthex.

The Celebratio­n Choir and orchestra will present “Lift Up Your Eyes” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 10.

Highlands Church (United Methodist)

The Community Blood Drive will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Highlands Church. Plan to eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to the event. Receive a free cholestero­l screening. Photo identifica­tion will be required. Help make a difference in your community by giving blood.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

“Here I am, Lord” is the sermon at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 27, by the Rev. Elise Cowan, followed by the monthly potluck.

Bella Vista Community Church

The Bella Vista Police Department hosts the U.S. Attorney for Western Arkansas, Duane Kees, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, in the sanctuary. The free workshop topic is “Fraud.”

Summer Arts Camp is Monday-Friday, June 18-22, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. for kids entering grades one through six. Brochures and registrati­on forms are available in the church office or register online at bvcc.net.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Sunday, May 27, Pastor Paul Seal will present the sermon on “Taking Stock of Our Sharing” from Matthew 25:14-30. In recognitio­n of Memorial Day, Highland Christian Church will recognize all branches of the military at this service.

The community is invited to Bible Study with Vivian Keller leading at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 23.

St. Theodore Episcopal Church

Saturday, May 26, is St. Theodore Volunteer Day at Helping Hands. The community is invited to lend a hand from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista

The Women’s Book Club will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 31, in the church parlor. This book club is unique in that everyone chooses a book around a theme, rather than reading the same book. The theme for May is a book about your hometown area. June’s theme will be Native Americans. All readers are welcome.

The community is invited to celebrate Trinity Sunday at 10 a.m. worship on May 27.

Bella Vista Baptist Church

The community is invited to share in the fun of Kids On Mission, a summer program for children, ages 3 through sixth grade. The program runs every Wednesday, 6 to 7:45 p.m. May 23 through Aug. 1.
