Bella Vista Com­mu­nity Church

The Back 40 Fall for All is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Satur­day, Nov. 10, at Blow­ing Springs Park. BVCC is serv­ing chili, hot dogs and ap­ple cider from 1 to 3 p.m. and hopes all stop by.

Sun­day, Nov. 11, BVCC will have one joint, pa­tri­otic wor­ship ser­vice in honor of Vet­er­ans Day from 10 to 10:45 a.m., fol­lowed by a short break. The an­nual meet­ing is from 10:55 to 11:30 a.m.

Christ­mas Tea tick­ets are now avail­able to the pub­lic. Cost is $10. The Satur­day, Dec. 1, tea seat­ings are at 1 and 3 p.m., with en­ter­tain­ment by BVCC’s Sanc­tu­ary Choir at 2 p.m.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Sun­day ser­vice: “En­chanted Grat­i­tude” by the Rev. Elise Cowan.

A new Wed­nes­day night class is be­ing of­fered which stud­ies “The Yoga of Je­sus” by Parama­hansa Yo­gananda, fol­lowed by 15 min­utes of med­i­ta­tion. Ev­ery­one is in­vited.

High­lands Church (United Methodist)

The 30th an­nual Cookie Walk will be held Satur­day, Dec. 1. Doors open at 8 a.m.; the Walk be­gins at 8:30 a.m. Cin­na­mon rolls, cof­fee, sweets and treats, soups to go and hand­made crafts are avail­able for pur­chase all morn­ing. All pro­ceeds sup­port High­lands Church mis­sion and min­istry projects. Con­tain­ers of cook­ies are $12 each.

Fam­ily Movie Night, hosted by Chil­dren’s Min­istry, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sun­day, Dec. 2, with a fea­ture of “The Star: The Story of the First Christ­mas.” The whole fam­ily is wel­come, and the event is free. Please RSVP on the Face­book page event at High­lands Church of Bella Vista.

The Chan­cel Choir will present its Christ­mas Can­tata at 5:30 p.m. Satur­day, Dec. 15, and at 10:30 a.m. Sun­day, Dec. 16. Un­der the di­rec­tion of John Matthews, the choir will sing “The Glory of Christ­mas,” a Christ­mas cel­e­bra­tion for choir and con­gre­ga­tion cre­ated by Lloyd Larson. The choir will be ac­com­pa­nied by pi­anist Pam Meyer and or­gan­ist Jean­nine Wa­gar. All are wel­come.

The next Blood Drive, or­ga­nized by the HUMMERS (High­lands United Methodist Men), is sched­uled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wed­nes­day, Dec. 26. A free choles­terol screen­ing is also avail­able. Eat well and drink plenty of flu­ids prior to the blood drive. Photo ID is re­quired.

Pres­by­te­rian Church of Bella Vista

This month’s PCBV sing-along at High­lands Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­ter will be at 2:30 p.m. Fri­day, Nov. 9. All com­mu­nity singers are wel­come to lift the spir­its of the High­lands res­i­dents.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Shep­herd’s Food Pantry is open ev­ery Fri­day from 10 a.m. un­til noon. With the hol­i­days ap­proach­ing, it is ask­ing for 16-ounce cans of pump­kin, con­densed milk and cran­berry sauce. The pantry also col­lects “Best Choice” PVC la­bels. Con­tain­ers for do­na­tions are in the church narthex.

On Sun­day morn­ings at 9:45 a.m. there is an “In­quirer’s Class.” This is an op­por­tu­nity for peo­ple who wish to join Bella Vista Lutheran Church and to learn about the church, how it op­er­ates and the Lutheran Doc­trine.

GriefShare meets on Thurs­days at 3 p.m. in the church li­brary. Those who have lost a loved one are wel­come.

Uni­tar­ian Univer­sal­ists

Sun­day, Nov. 11, fea­tures an in­vi­ta­tion to pon­der how the lives of an­ces­tors have in­flu­enced lives to­day and to re­flect on the on­go­ing spir­i­tual re­la­tion­ship with them.

Vil­lage Bible Church

Wed­nes­day, Nov. 7, the Oa­sis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This min­istry is avail­able to any­one in the area who needs help with gro­ceries and would ap­pre­ci­ate the com­pas­sion and en­cour­age­ment of friendly vol­un­teers.

Pas­tor Mark Voll’s ser­mon ti­tle this Sun­day is “Faith Is the Vic­tory,” with a text of 1 Sa­muel 17 (se­lected verses).
