W. John Rowe

W. John Rowe, 92, died Thursday, March 14, 2019, at his home in Bella Vista, Ark.

He was born on May 28, 1926, in Meridean, Wis., to Walter J. Rowe and Geneva Peterson Rowe. He graduated from Menomonie High School in 1944 and entered the U.S. Navy until the end of WWII. On Dec. 29, 1949, he married Ruth Ann Neuman of Elroy, Wis. He spent his career in education as a math teacher, school administrator and retired as principal of Arlington High School in Arlington Heights, Ill., in 1984, and moved to Bella Vista in 1985. He was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Frances; and brother, Richard.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Bella Vista; daughter, Cathy Casey (Joe) of Bixby, Okla.; son, Thomas Rowe (Jan) of Deerfield, Ill.; sister, Geraldine Barthholf (James) of Monroe, Wis.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Bella Vista Community Church with Anna Teel officiating.
