Other attractions close to Lost Valley include the Villines family farmstead, built in 1882 by “Beaver Jim” Villines. The family cabin and outbuildings are seen along a one-half mile trail at the Buffalo National River access at Ponca. From the parking area, the hike starts on the other side of the low-water bridge.

Ponca Elk Education Center operated by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is located in downtown Ponca. Information about elk and other wildlife is available here, along with exhibits and nature games for kids.
