• United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista is offering its church parking lot for residents to set up booths of garage sale items during the Citywide Garage Sale scheduled for April 28-29. The church is asking for a donation of $25 for one spot or $45 for two spots. Part of the donations will go to funding Our Little Pantry on the church property. • The Bella Vista Historical Museum is making available spaces around the museum’s Settler’s Cabin for individual­s who would like to participat­e in the Citywide Garage Sale on April 28-29. Volunteer Dustie Meads is coordinati­ng this as a fundraiser for the museum. Rent is $25 for one space and $45 for two spaces, which will cover both days of the sale, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. Refunds will be given only in case of rain. Vendor vehicle parking will be east of the booth area. The museum will be open the same hours both days. Contact Meads at 479-381-8546 for details.

• Cooper Memorial Chapel is inviting all couples and their families who were married at the chapel to return for a renewal of vows ceremony on Sunday, June 18. Couples will be able to choose one of three group vow renewal ceremonies being scheduled at the chapel: 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Because June 18 is Father’s Day this year, bridegroom­s who are fathers and fathers of the bride and bridegroom are especially encouraged to attend.

The Bella Vista Historical Museum will host a wedding reception for the lucky couples. Wedding cake, punch, coffee and a photo booth will be available for the couples and their families throughout the afternoon at the museum.

• Calico Cut-Ups Quilt Guild of Bella Vista will again sponsor Kids Quilt Kamp June 19-23 at St. Theodore’s Episcopal Church located at 1001 Kingsland Road in Bella Vista. Applicants must be at least 10 years old by the beginning of Kamp week with hobbies or interests where patience and focus over a period of time is in their skill set. There is no charge to the participan­ts as all materials and instructio­n are provided by Calico Cut-Ups Quilt Guild. Maximum capacity is 10 participan­ts. • United Lutheran Church will hold the Second Annual Pumpkin Patch Arts and Crafts Festival over three days this year: Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 1921, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thirty-five indoor spaces and 20 outdoor spaces are currently being reserved for $100. • The 5th Annual Flea in the Park at Blowing Springs will be held Oct. 6-7. Vendor applicatio­ns are now available with limited space. Email clayl@bvvpoa.com to receive an applicatio­n.

April 21

• Gear Garden in Blowing Springs Park will celebrate its season opening weekend with live music, food trucks and more.

Live music schedule is as follows: April 21, MoonShroom, 4-7 p.m.; April 22, Off The Grid, 3-6 p.m.; April 23, Louis Pettinelli, 4-7 p.m.

• The City of Bella Vista is hosting a drive-thru tree giveaway to Bella Vista residents starting at 9 a.m. Friday, April 21, in the parking lot of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 1 St. Bernard Lane. Trees and shrubs of various species will be available until 12 p.m., or until they are gone. Bella Vista residents who provide proof of residency with a current utility bill can get one tree per household.

April 22

• The Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter will set up at all four Bella Vista Fire Department locations on April 22 from 8 a.m.-noon to collect donations. While residents are getting ready for the annual Citywide Garage Sale or if you are just doing some spring cleaning and declutteri­ng, consider donating items to the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter. Locations include: Station No. 1 at 103 Town Center; Station No. 2 at 8300 Trafalgar Road; Station No. 3 at 212 Glasgow Road; and Station No. 4 at 1639 Forest Hills Blvd.

• The Bella Vista Garden Club will hold a greenhouse plant sale from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Village Wastewater located at 380 Bella Vista Way. Plants include 1,200 tomato, zinnia and coleus potted plants. Appointmen­ts are not necessary this year, though the club will limit the number of persons inside the greenhouse at one time in order to make shopping safe for everyone.

April 23

The Bella Vista Farmer’s Market opens Sunday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. with an 11:30 a.m. ribbon cutting to celebrate the new season, location and other changes. The market has found its way back to its original location at One Mercy Way.

April 24

The Bella Vista Public Safety Facility will hold a ribbon cutting on Monday, April 24, at 9 a.m. at the new building located at 2483 Forest Hills Blvd. The new facility was built with funds from a 2020 bond initiative and now houses the city’s Police Department, Dispatch Center and District Court.
