Saturday, March 23

The next meet and greet for new Bella Vista residents is scheduled for Saturday morning, March 23 at the Bella Vista Country Club. Coffee will be served at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting starts at 10. If interested, contact Debbie Sorensen at bvwelcomes­u@gmail.com.

Monday, March 25

The Bella Vista Planning Division is hosting a sticker design art contest as part of the 2024 Arbor Day celebratio­n during the month of April. Submission­s are due by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 25, and designs must include native trees, the words “Arbor Day 2024,” and may not use or depict any type of invasive species.

The graphic must be designed in a circular shape and the file provided must be a quality that allows printing of 3.5 inches in diameter.

The winner will be decided by a vote of the members of the Bella Vista Tree Advisory Board and will be announced on the city’s social media pages at 10 a.m. Friday, March 29. The winning design will be handed out during the spring tree and shrub giveaway set for Friday, April 12.

Thursday, March 28

This is the last day to sign up for the Republic Services spring appliance pickup, scheduled for April 1-5 in Bella Vista.

Residents in good account standing can sign up prior to the week of the pickup. Sign-ups will be accepted through noon on Thursday, March 28.

Saturday, March 30

A driving tour of Bella Vista hosted by the Bella Vista Historical Museum is scheduled for Saturday,

March 30 from 8:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Meet at the museum and car caravan to a number of historic sites. Some walking is involved. Call 479-8552335 with your name, phone number, and the number in your party. As a fundraiser for the museum, the cost is $15 for individual­s or $25 per couple.

Easter Egg Hunts

• Saturday, March 30 — The Bella Vista Property Owners Associatio­n’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held from 10-11 a.m. on the grounds of the Bella Vista Recreation Center, 3 Riordan Drive. All are welcome.

• Saturday, March 30 — Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., at 4 p.m. Enjoy the hunt, gifts and take a family photo next the Easter Story Cube.

• Sunday, March 31 — United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, at 11 a.m. All are welcome and there will be a children’s activity following the hunt.

Thursday, April 4

The Bella Vista Civil War Round Table will next meet on Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m. with a program titled the Battle of Massard Prairie. It will be presented by National Park Ranger Cody Faber.

The Round Table normally meets at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month at the Bella Vista Historical Museum, 1885 Bella Vista Way. The museum is located at the intersecti­on of Highway 71 and Kingsland Road. Admission is free but donations are accepted to cover the expenses of our guest speakers.

Saturday, April 13

The 2024 Spring Bazaar at the Bella Vista Recreation Center is scheduled for Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. This event highlights arts and crafts vendors and there is no cost to attend.
