Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista

Holy Week services include Palm Sunday on March 24 at 10 a.m., Maundy Thursday on March 28 at 6 p.m., and Easter Sunday on March 31 at 10 a.m.

The Presbyteri­an Men’s Group meets next on Saturday, April 6 at 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

Village Baptist Church

Village Baptist Church will present a Good Friday service at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista on March 29 beginning at 7 p.m. People of all faiths are invited to attend as the events of that original Friday are recalled and reflected upon.

Bella Vista Community Church

Holy Week services are: Palm Sunday, March 24 at 10 a.m.; Maundy Thursday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m.; Good Friday, March 29 at 11:45 a.m.; Easter Sunday, March 31 at 10 a.m.

The Women’s Bible Study is studying Genesis 1-11: Creation, sin, and the nature of God. The cost of the book is $10. There are two identical studies to choose from each Tuesday — 9:15-11 a.m. and 5:30-6:45 p.m. The study is open to all ladies in the community.

There are now two Men’s Bible Fellowship programs. One meets every Wednesday at 9 a.m. The second one meets every other week on Thursdays at 6 p.m. Both studies are open to all men in the community.

Prayer fellowship meets in the chapel every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. to pray for individual­s and community needs. If you have a prayer request, email karen@bvcc. net.

Anyone interested in singing or being part of a bell choir is welcome to join practice on Wednesdays. The bell choir meets at 4:30 p.m. and the choir practices at 5:30 p.m.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry invites anyone who enjoys knitting or crocheting to join them. Contact the church for times and dates. Yarn is provided.

Those interested in playing ping pong are invited to join the group on Thursday mornings from 9-10 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

Highland Christian Church Bella Vista (DoC)

Easter services at Highland Christian Church (DoC) include: Palm Sunday, March 24 at 10:30 a.m.; Maundy Thursday, March 28 at 5 p.m.; Easter Sunday, March 31 at 10:30 a.m.

The Disciples Men’s Fellowship meets the third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. in Keller Hall. Breakfast is served followed by fellowship, a devotional and discussion­s.

United Lutheran Church

Holy Week services at United Lutheran: Palm Sunday, March 24 at 9:30 a.m.; Maundy Thursday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m., simple communion service; Good Friday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m.; Easter Sunday, March 31 at 9:30 a.m., celebratio­n service followed by Easter brunch and children’s activities.

The Pumpkin Patch Arts & Crafts Festival 2024 will be held the weekend of Oct. 17-19. There are still eight indoor booths remaining and about a dozen outdoor booth spaces available. The cost to reserve a booth is $100 until April 30 and then the cost will go up to $125. Informatio­n: 479-855-1325.

Village Bible Church

The Oasis Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m.-noon.

Each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Village Bible hosts its Praise & Prayer service that is open to all.

A men’s fellowship breakfast is held every third Saturday of the month from 8-10 a.m.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

On Saturday, March 30 at 4 p.m. there will be an Easter Egg Hunt. You can have a family photo taken and also have an Easter Story Cube. This event will be outside, or in case of rain, inside.

The Quilters meet the second and fourth Wednesdays starting at 8:30 a.m. where they make quilts for the needy.

Adult choir rehearsals are on Wednesdays in the choir room following the evening services.

The Youth of Bella Vista Lutheran Church are gathering used ink cartridges of any kind. They can redeem them to help pay for the National Youth Gathering for next year. There is a basket next to the door into the kitchen for your donation.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday morning from 10 a.m.-noon providing food items to those in need.

GriefShare classes start on Tuesday, April 2 and continue through June 25. GriefShare is a support group for those who have lost a loved one. Informatio­n: 479-640-1508.

Starting on April 7 at 9:45 a.m. Pastor Hass will lead Christiani­ty 101 in the church library.

First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church is hosting a Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drive at the church on March 22 in Becker Hall from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. To schedule an appointmen­t call 417-227-5006 or go to the link: cbco.org/ donate-blood. CBCO is the only blood bank located in NWA and supplies all the blood to local hospitals.

Holy Week services will be Maundy Thursday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m.; Good Friday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m.; Easter morning, March 31 at 7:30 a.m. This will be outside and includes a light breakfast pot luck, classic service at 9 a.m. and a contempora­ry service at 11 a.m.

The United Women in Faith meet each Thursday morning at 9 a.m. to enjoy fellowship while working on unique items for this fall’s bazaar. Those items are then sold for the benefit of women, children and youth of Benton County.

A new HealingStr­ong group has started at First United Methodist on the third Monday of each month. It is focused on those recovering from cancer or other diseases and provides life-giving informatio­n on natural, non-toxic strategies to heal strong and stay strong.

The first Thursday of every month there is a support group for those living with or providing care for a loved one with cognitive issues. Sponsored and facilitate­d by the Schmieding Center, it meets at 12:30 p.m. in the parlor. Respite care is available.

Highlands Church A Global Methodist Congregati­on

Palm Sunday weekend: Services will be held Saturday,

March 23 at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 24 at 10 a.m.

Holy Wednesday: A teaching session by Pastor Robert titled “With Every Breath He Suffered: A Medical Look at the Last Day of Jesus” will be held on March 27 at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Maundy Thursday: On March 28 at 6 p.m. the Chancel Choir will present a performanc­e titled “Colors of Grace.” Families are encouraged to attend.

Good Friday: On March 29 at 6 p.m. there will be a “Stations of the Cross” service. The service will be in the sanctuary and does not require walking.

Easter: The entire church will be celebratin­g Easter together on Sunday morning, March 31 in a combined service at 10 a.m. A continenta­l breakfast will be served before the service from 9-10 a.m. There will be no Saturday service on March 30.
