The Bella Vista Animal Shelter Charity Garage Sale will be held June 22-29 at 2 Leafield Lane from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. Boxed donations of clean, gently-used items are now being collected. Contact hostess Anita Werts at 479-366-2265 to schedule a drop-off appointmen­t at the storage facility. For large items and furniture, you will receive instructio­ns for a drop-off date. The preference is boxed and stackable items; please refrain from donating old TVS and do not deliver to the animal shelter at this time.

Friday, April 12

The 2nd Friday’s Heart of Fellowship Coffee House will be held April 12 from 6-8 p.m. at United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road. Featured entertainm­ent will be the Saxophonic­s. All are welcome to attend this compliment­ary event and enjoy coffee, food and entertainm­ent.

Saturday, April 13

• The Spring Bazaar at the Bella Vista Recreation Center is set for Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free admission to all. Up to 50 artisan vendors will be displaying and selling their handmade items such as jewelry, stained glass, paintings, candles, specialty soaps, needlework, woodcarvin­gs and collectibl­es. • Registrati­on for kids summer activities at the Rec Center opens up on Saturday, April 13. This includes swim lessons, swim team, tennis camps, paddleboar­d camps and more.

Tuesday, April 16

• A renovation tour of the Kingsdale Clubhouse will be held Tuesday, April 16 at 3 p.m. The POA is hosting a walk-through showcasing the improvemen­ts that are being made. Those who can’t attend may visit the POA website following the event for a virtual tour.

• Flames2fir­e Ministries Food Pantry and New Life Christian Church of Bella Vista host a drive-thru food pantry every third Tuesday of the month between 9:30-11 a.m.the next one is scheduled for April 16 in the Bella Vista Recreation Center parking lot.

A variety of foods are available, including produce, frozen meat, sweets, bread, canned goods, dry goods and cleaning products. Volunteers serve those picking up food in a car line by taking food off tables and loading it into the vehicles. More informatio­n is available at f2fpantry.com.

• The POA is partnering with the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank and invites membership to spread the awareness to those in need. The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank hosts 18 mobile pantries each month, including one in Bella Vista.

The Bella Vista mobile pantry is held at the Kingsdale parking lot, 6 Kingsdale Lane, on the third Tuesday of each month. This free food distributi­on is open to any resident who is needing a little help with food.

Thursday, April 18

• Artist Reception Night will be held at Wishing Spring Gallery, 8862 W. Mcnelly Road, from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. The evening will consist of presentati­ons from local artists, and drinks and food will be provided.

• St. Bernard Charity Bingo is played every third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Bernard parish hall in Bella Vista. April 18 is the next Bingo meeting. All are welcome; a snack bar is available.

Friday, April 19-21

Gear Garden in Blowing Springs Park opens the weekend of April 19 with a music lineup of Off The Grid (Friday, 5-8 p.m.), Rockin’ Roads Band (Saturday, 3-6 p.m.) and Brandon Mezzelo on Jazz Sunday, 4-7 p.m. Food trucks on this weekend will include Crackerjac­k, Beavertail­s, Sabroso, Dutch Oven on Wheels and Uncle Dandy’s Hot Dog Cart. Cheeky Face Painter will be on hand Saturday, 3-5 p.m.

Sunday, April 21

The Bella Vista Farmers Market opens for the 2024 season on April 21. The market will be open each Sunday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., and special programs are held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Customer giveaways and community appreciati­on make for family-friendly market fun.

Monthly special events include: April 21, grand opening; May 12, plant sale; June 16, culinary demos; July 7, BBQ safety event; Aug. 4, Farmers Market Week; Sept. 15, “Touch a Truck”; Oct. 6, harvest festival.

Friday, April 26

The city of Bella Vista will host its Arbor Day tree planting ceremony at noon on Friday, April 26 at the Riordan Trailhead on Riordan Road.

April 26-27

• Bella Vista’s annual Citywide Garage Sale will be held Friday and Saturday, April 26-27. For informatio­n visit bellavista­ar.gov/citywidega­ragesale.

• The Bella Vista Historical Museum is making available parking spaces on the museum grounds for individual­s who would like to participat­e in the Citywide Garage Sale April 26-27 but who don’t want to have a garage sale at home. Volunteer Dustie Meads is coordinati­ng this project as a fundraiser for the museum. The rent is $25 for one space or $45 for two spaces, covering both days. Refunds will be given only in case of rain. Set up will start each day at 8 a.m. with shutdown by 5 p.m.

Vendor vehicle parking will be at the rear of the property. Anyone interested in renting one or more spaces is invited to contact Meads at 479-381-8546 for details.
