• Jared Polis has about as much responsibility over the effects of all of our wildfires in Colorado as Donald Trump has as far as the effects of COVID. Neither one could have controlled the situation.

• There is a person running for Congress from Colorado for whom I can’t vote. Part of the reason is geographic.

This individual openly advocates insurrection. That did no good from the left in the ’60s, and I won’t from the right this time. Back then we heard “Love it or leave it.” Amen. As much as I have enjoyed John Wayne’s films, I don’t think pouring kerosene on the fires burning in America is a smart idea.

• Isn’t it about time for the mainstream media to get off the hate-trump kick and trying to protect Biden and Democrats and start telling the real news instead of just skipping over what they want to report and especially if it’s against Trump. And they keep their mouth shut about anything about antiBiden. With all the stuff going around about Biden and his kids and their corruption with China, they never mention anything about it. I think it’s about time they wake up and do something.

• I would highly suggest to all those readers for this column: Use your favorite search engine and look up “Tony Bobulinski interview.” It will shock you.

• For people out there who don’t like the idea of being restricted about certain things during the coronavirus: Why don’t they think of it as guidelines to help us all stay well, get through this pandemic, and help keep it from spreading by following those guidelines? If people don’t start following those guidelines, it’s just prolonging this pandemic, and it’s not being respectful to other people.

• One thing the Trump administration has been good for is — I’ve got to admit — it’s expanded my vocabulary. I didn’t used to know what the word misogynistic meant. I didn’t know what a sycophant was. And hopefully in a few days my new word will be repudiation.

• The COVID outbreak at Aunt Alice’s Cafe happened on Oct. 12, and evidently the public wasn’t notified until in the paper of Oct. 29. I think it’s the county’s problem that they haven’t notified the public in a timely manner.

• We are avid Halloween fans and want to bring joy to all the kids that can’t go out trick-or-treating this year. Parents, please feel free to take your kids to drive-by neighborhoods to see awesome Halloween decorations. We happen to know one in particular on

Fox Hill Drive that would be great fun for everyone. Halloween night will be peak time to check us out. Honk if you see us Halloween.

• COVID, COVID, COVID — that’s all anyone talks about. We’re turning the corner. That’s right, we’re going from where it is yesterday, straight up. Everything is getting worse. Turning the corner means it’s getting worse, not that it’s going away. We have to be more careful if we ever want this to be under control.
