Red Leicester —Live cheesemaking via Zoom. This British hard cheese originated in the English county of Leicestershire several hundred years ago. Similar to cheddar but with a shorter “cheddaring” process, this cheese derives its characteristic red hue from the addition of annatto. Discovering Longmont’s Northeast Quadrant — Celebrate Longmont’s 150th with a bicycle tour throughout the parks with parks historian and bicycle tour guide. Bike through the
’70s and ’80s and see how park design process has transformed our outdoor gathering places as we visit some of Longmont’s newer parks, developed in the early 2000s. All tours guided by former City of Longmont Parks Project Manager and author Paula Fitzgerald and Traffic Safety Coordinator and former Art in Public Places Administrator Lauren Greenfield. All biking will be on roads, some with bike lanes and some not, for a total of 7-8 miles. Safety checks will be done as a group. Please be prepared with spare tuben case of flats. Masks required. Life Drawing with Art of Modeling — Featuring Julie in a clothed drawing session in a faux living room set up. In this two-hour session poses vary from short gestures to 15 or 20 minute studies in an open-studio format. This is not an instructor-led class; artists are invited to practice their craft in their own style. All artists are responsible for cleaning their area after class. For distancing reasons, each person will need a separate table or must bring their own easel.
