Attention Homes: Needs several in-kind supply donations to help with COVID relief efforts. Meals for delivery at Attention Home locations or drop off a nonperisha­bles such as canned and dry goods. Also accepting stable fruit such as bananas, clementine’s, oranges and apples as well as paper products and cleaning supplies like Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer. Attention Homes is located at 1440 Pine St., Suite A in Boulder. Drop off supplies from9a.m.to5p.m.monday through Friday in the hallway with no contact. Boulder Shelter Most needed items at this time are sugar, coffee, hand sanitizer, masks, Tylenol/advil/aspirin, cough and cold medicine (alcohol free), laundry detergent, soap, travel-sized shampoo, body wash and lotion and vitamins. Things can be ordered online and delivered to Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, 4869 N. Broadway, Boulder, CO, 80304. Monetary donations are also accepted at www.boulder shelter.org or by mailing a check to the address above.

Boulder Walk to End Alzheimers is looking for passionate committee members. A Walk Planning Committee members’ role includes some or all of the following: attending monthly committee meetings (in person and/or virtual), making phone calls to participan­ts, writing thank you cards, helping to secure participan­ts and sponsorshi­ps, assisting with the marketing of the event, participat­ing on the Walk social media pages, fundraisin­g, etc. The Alzheimer’s Associatio­n staff partner is flexible to tailor your volunteer experience around your interests, skills, and schedule (as able).

Bridge House needs: socks, cleaning supplies (lysol, foam shower cleaner etc.) and hand soap for people experienci­ng homelessne­ss. Programs have been expanded during this time, so the need is greater than ever. For more informatio­n email Scott@ Boulderbri­dgehouse.org.

Broomfield FISH: A grocery store donation box is available at King Soopers on 120th and Sheridan, U.S. 287 or 136th and Zuni and at Safeway on 144th and Lowell as well as Sprouts on 120th and Sheridan. Top needs are cereal, oatmeal, mac n cheese, Spaghettio­s, canned meat and peanut butter. Count Me In: Boulder’s new Shovel-a-stop program is an effort to increase the number of bus stops cleared after each snow event. Clearing bus stops helps prevent slips and falls and increases safety and accessibil­ity for bus riders of all ages and abilities. Cultivate: Gifts will directly support the increased capacity and additional sanitation measures for the Carry-out Caravan grocery delivery program in Boulder and Broomfield Counties. Visit cultivate.ngo/relief to make a donation.

Flatirons Habitat for Humanity: We are currently working on two new constructi­on build sites in Boulder that will provide affordable homes for 12 families. Come as an individual or as a group, and there is no need for prior constructi­on experience. We will provide all necessary tools, training and instructio­n. Harvest of Hope Food Pantry hasswitche­dtoa “carhop” service and is offering curbside delivery. Our most needed food items are readyto-eat soup, peanut butter, canned pasta meals, canned chili and boxes of healthy snack bars. Find out more about hosting a food drive at hopepantry.org/fooddrive. Donations are accepted between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at 2960 Valmont Road in Boulder. Ring the bell at the back of the door and donations will be handled. Volunteers work in small groups, packing bags, stocking, weighing donations, and helping with other tasks. Donations can also be made at: hopepantry.org/donate.

H.O.P.E. Homeless Outreach is in need of lunch bags, small and large surgical gloves, plastic forks and bottles of water, trial size shampoo and conditione­r, large paper plates, disposable drinking cups, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer. The following clothing, washed and in a clean plastic bag, is also needed: Women’s pants: sizes 4,5,8-10; men’s pants: 30,32, 34, 36; women’s tank tops all sizes; men’s shoes size 5-11. Monetary donations are welcome. Services include showers, internet, meals, a place to rest and resources. Restaurant­s are also sought for daytime meals for up to 25 people. Impact on Education supports the critical needs of students in the Boulder Valley School District. They have ongoing opportunit­ies for volunteers to support their programs and events. Safehouse Progressiv­e Alliance for Nonviolenc­e (SPAN) is pleased to request your support and attendance at our 40th Annual Chocolate Lovers’ Spring Fling. Volunteer Needs: Fundraisin­g for Survivors (SPAN) -Chocolate Lovers’ Fling Committee. For 40 years, Safehouse Progressiv­e Alliance for Nonviolenc­e (SPAN) has hosted their beloved annual gala, The Chocolate Lovers’ Fling. Each year, The Chocolate Lovers’ Fling brings the community together for a night full of live music, dancing, and both silent and live auctions — all in an effort to support SPAN in their mission to serve survivors of domestic violence and their children. The Chocolate Lovers’ Fling Committee is a group of volunteers from the community that dedicate their time to procuring auction items and event sponsorshi­ps for SPAN. Committee Member Requiremen­ts: Procure at least 10 auction items equivalent to a $500 value, and attend monthly meetings on Zoom. (Meetings continue through May). Committee members have an opportunit­y to receive two free tickets to the event if they meet these requiremen­ts, and, the committee member to procure the most items receives two free tickets to the event AND a one-night stay at the Omni Interlocke­n Hotel. Sister Carmen Community Center has a need for Thrift Store volunteers. Tasks include sorting and hanging clothing, putting priced items on the floor, merchandis­ing, etc. We are closely following COVID-19 protocol. Shifts are drop-in after training. Thorne Nature Experience: Summer Camp Teaching Assistant needed. Volunteer to help connect youth to nature. Thorne offers day camps in Boulder and Lafayette for youth ages 3-15. TRU Thrift Shop earnings support compassion­ate end-oflife care, grief support, and education. The nonprofit thrift shop needs volunteers to sort donations in the following department­s: clothing, electronic­s, furniture, household items, art, books, and linens. All donations are processed for quality, pricing and displaying. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old unless accompanie­d by an adult and shifts are typically for four hours. Virtual volunteer opportunit­ies

The Boulder Seniors Foundation (BSF) is seeking volunteers to join its board of directors in supporting Boulder’s Older Adult Services and the Age Well Centers. BSF provides Boulder’s citizens with a way to make tax-deductible donations specifical­ly to benefit Boulder’s older adults. It provides funds to assist lowincome older adults with emergency expenses and also sponsor programs of interest (nutrition classes, 55+ job fair, Chautauqua­n lecture series) for all older adults. Circle of Care has developed a volunteer phone buddy system to connect to seniors who are struggling with social isolation and who might need food shopping or an errand done.
