Liberal town board is making Erie unlivable

-

When I first moved to Erie it was a cozy little town that was family friendly, and we felt safe living here. The population has exploded, and we no longer feel safe here. Since the Board of Trustees has been taken over by liberals, it has been destroyed. Downtown parking is a mess, and they refuse to do anything about it. Instead they’ve allowed office buildings to be built which will require even more parking.

Water rates in Erie are 30% to 50% higher than all the communities around us, and they think that is just fine. I have challenged them about it, and they say it is so we have water in the future. Future water requirements require fewer users, not higher rates. You don’t do that by handing out building permits like candy at Halloween.

They are currently installing charging stations around town which provide service for about 10% of the town. About 10% of vehicles in Erie are electric while 100% of taxpayers are paying for them. They should be required to install a couple of gas pumps alongside the chargers to accommodate the other 90% of the taxpayers. Two of the chargers are right across the street from Walgreens, which has a charging station, putting them in direct competition with a private business. Probably not legal. At least not ethical.

Liberals are the same at all levels, they seek power and personal gratification. We need to flush liberalism from the Erie board and install people who put the needs of the town ahead of themselves. Know the party affiliation of the candidates. It will tell the direction the town is headed.
