Jobs report
This is about the 517,000 jobs added in January and the December total being revised up by about a quarter-million people. President Biden, since he’s been in office for a little over two years, has added 12 million jobs to the economy. Anybody — Bueller? — please tell me what the other president did, the former president, the rejected one. There really is nothing that the man accomplished.
Book fines
Regarding the library not having fines for books: Why don’t you just not even bother checking them out? Take whatever you want. Why don’t you give a ribbon when people return them on time? The reason you have the library check out the books is so other people can use them in a reasonable amount of time. That is a policy that should (not) be ended, because it teaches people to stay within the boundaries.
Anti-anything
I would like to see a widely available published list of every member of the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Senate, every member that’s made an anti-semitic, anti-muslim, anti-hispanic, anti-black, anti-anything — every one that’s made those comments — whether they should be appointed to whatever appropriate committee. I would also like to see there be a test to see who’s ever appointed to a committee, to see if they have appropriate knowledge to make decisions on our behalf.
Tickets
I just wanted to agree with the caller about the radar and red light cameras. Also, if they would throw in (giving) tickets for all the expired plates, we would have all kinds of income for Longmont, and we would finally go back to maybe some safer streets. In Wyoming, you can get a ticket one day after your plates expire. In Colorado, you can go five years.
Consequences
Elections and consequences: Elect left-leaners. You will make them and Xcel fabulously rich and powerful. Vote for a supermajority, and you’ll get way more junk than you ever bargained for. Stop complaining. Be smart. Balance the three branches of government.
Cakes, babies
I agree with the TC caller who said if you don’t force anyone to bake a cake you should not force a woman to make a baby. However, once the baby is made, let it be born. Don’t destroy a human life.
