I think it’s imperative that the Biden administration insist that the next time China sends a balloon over the United States, it be in the shape of a panda.

GOP and deficit

Surely Republicans know, at least if they’ve been in the House more than one term, that Republicans are responsible for at least half of the deficit. They need to sit down and figure out what cuts their half can make in order for the country to keep going forward, and let the deficit go up if it’s necessary, because they know that their spending is necessary.

Unneeded fakery

(Has) anyone else who has called the Times-call circulation line and dealt with its automated response system found the typing sounds made by the automated response system a bizarre bit of unneeded fakery?

City priorities

It makes no sense to rename streets that you can’t even drive on. This city is just a giant pothole. Curious where our taxes are being spent. … We also need Burlington Northern to repair the railroad tracks on 17th and Ninth. (There are) important things to be done. Renaming streets is not one of them.

Non-citizen voting

Colorado congressional representatives Degette (and) Neguse recently voted to allow Washington, D.C., to let (non-citizens) vote in their elections. Why? What is their agenda? It doesn’t make sense to a citizen.

Legalized gambling

To all of you who voted to legalize sports gambling in the state: Thank you, because now I can never turn on my radio or my television without being bombarded by ads that in the end just take more money from the working class and give it to the very wealthy. Thank you a lot.
