Missing snowboarder found near Nederland
A 50-year-old snowboarder who was reported overdue Sunday night has been located near Nederland.
According to police scanner traffic, at 6:19 p.m. Monday, a man who had been out in the wilderness for more than 24 hours was found near the 5300 block of Caribou Road. Cmdr. Randy Wilber of the Boulder
County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the man found was the missing snowboarder.
Although rescuers were taking him to get medically evaluated for possible hypothermia, the man was able to walk out, Wilber said.
Boulder County officials spent most of the day Monday searching for the man, who has still not been publicly identified. The parking lot of the Caribou townsite, where the man had last been seen, was closed to the public for emergency vehicles and operations
Longmont Startup Week, which brings together entrepreneurs, investors and local leaders across northern Colorado, is scheduled for the week of Sept. 26.
The event will be inperson this year at venues throughout downtown Longmont and is in need of numerous volunteers.

Volunteers are needed for event logistics, entertainment coordination, social media management, speaker coordination, venue coordination, technical assistance and on-site guest assistance.
