Pace Street

Being as they’re putting new pipes and lines in between Fifth Avenue and Ninth Avenue on Pace, why don’t they widen the road? It’s a big bottleneck, and that needs to be four lanes all the way through.

COVID bias

Thanks for carrying the Chicago Tribune editorial acknowledging the media got a whole lot wrong about COVID, often allowing ideological bias and a specific disdain for Trump to influence reporting. Unfortunately, the Tribune itself is still carrying articles of the same type, including a recent AP story disparaging the Wuhan lab origin as a conspiracy theory.

Scott Adams

I just watched Scott Adams’ podcast that has various news media labeling him as racist, and I think they’re misrepresenting things enormously. I think if you really want to have a valid opinion about it, you should listen to his podcast and see what he had to say.

Better conditions

I don’t understand why people don’t think we should not make things better now than they were for them. You know, it’s not a bad thing that we have 40 hours of work and relatively safe working conditions.

Arts center

• The Longmont Center for Arts and Entertainment actually has a lot of local support. There are several performing organizations and local businesses supporting this project already. Feasibility studies indicate this is a viable project for Longmont. If we vote yes, they have five years to raise the private funds.

• This is about the cultural center. Smaller cities than Longmont have built larger centers for arts and entertainment than what is being proposed here. For example, Greeley had a population of 60,000people in 1988 when the Union Colony Civic Center was built. But focusing on the size of the city misses the point. The Center for Arts and Entertainment in Longmont is good for the local economy, business and our children. When those aspects of Longmont are strong, we all thrive.

Marshall Fire

It’s March 2023, and we still have not seen a final report on the cause of the Marshall Fire. It only raises suspicions that Boulder County is negligent in some manner.

Ex-president

This is about the ex-president in the jumpsuit, the comment that came in about the ex-president who is still sucking his thumb because he lost the election. I remind you, who wrote that, of the temper tantrum he had on Jan. 6. People died, etc., etc.
