Longmont growth

• There have been so many complaints over the years about Longmont’s growth and now about no affordable housing, a boutique hotel, etc. I am just waiting for someone to recommend we put a new mobile home park where the hotel is designated. The little commuter town of Longmont in the ’70s with only Mcdonald’s and Burger Chef for fast food was nice. However, we had to drive to Boulder or Thornton for anything like a Best Buy, Dick’s, Wendy’s, Chipotle or any restaurant showing sports. Kmart was our shopping experience in town. I liked the more vibrant Longmont of today.

• Longmont leaders want to stop carbon pollution of all sorts, yet they allow new development after new development, which causes more pollution. I don’t get it.

Money

What’s the best thing about money? One, getting everything you want. And two is getting a lawyer to take care of any problems you will ever have.

Budget deficits

I must respond to the caller who called in “Budget deficits” … Saturday. Number one, that’s in the past. Number two, the times were completely different in both instances; one cannot be compared to the other. Number three, you must be trying to listen to MSNBC again.

Loaf of bread

I’m not all that happy with my family, but I still wouldn’t have served that loaf of bread from Babettes. The baker’s response was bad. Tip: If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Already born

For the abortionists: I’m constantly hearing the percentage of babies that have been aborted. I wonder if these people can quote me a percentage for children that have been murdered, sexually abused, even children who today will go to bed hungry. I wish that these abortionists would put their passion into children that have already been born.

Abortion

How is abortion a health choice? It’s not a health choice for the unborn person with a separate DNA than the mother that’s carrying it. … Get your head out of the sand and realize that it’s murder no matter how you cut it. It’s murder of another individual.

‘Drinking Habits’

Need a break from the doldrums? Go see Longmont Theatre Company’s current production of “Drinking Habits.” Thoroughly entertaining, the comedic timing is spot on, and a surprise conclusion will have you roaring with laughter.
