A Precious Child

This nonprofit, whose mission is to empower disadvanta­ged youth by providing them with opportunit­ies and resources to reach their full potential, needs volunteers. Volunteers are the core of A Precious Child’s work — more than 6,700 volunteers who donate hundreds of hours of service is needed annually to fulfill its mission. Individual­s, corporate groups, churches and community organizati­ons are welcome. The nonprofit is in need of baby wipes, masks, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, spray bottles and diapers. Boulder County Community Correction­s

Board members needed. Make a difference for offenders and the Boulder County community: three-year term, 20 hours per month with 7:30-9:30 a.m. meetings on second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Must be at least 18 years old, a Boulder County resident and be able to read case materials and make recommenda­tions for the bench on offender placement in halfway houses as alternativ­es to incarcerat­ion. Cultivate

Volunteers are needed to support senior neighbors through programs such as rides to medical appointmen­ts for military veterans and their senior family members, grocery shopping and delivery, minor home repairs and yard cleanup. Visit cultivate.ngo/engage/volunteer, or call 303-443-1933.

H.O.P.E.

This nonprofit serving Longmont’s homeless community is in need of nonperisha­ble lunch bags, size small and large surgical gloves, plastic forks, plastic bottles of water, trial-sized shampoo and conditione­r, large paper plates, disposable drinking cups, paper towels, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Clothing donations that are washed and placed in a clean plastic bag include women’s pants in sizes 4, 5 and 8-10, men’s pants in sizes 30, 32, 34 and 36, all sizes of women’s tank tops and men’s shoes in sizes 5-11. Monetary donations are welcome to help meet the need for day services, which include showers, Internet access, meals, a place to rest and resources. If you are a restaurant and would cook a daytime meal for the shelter for up to 25 people, please contact Andy at andy@hopeforlon­gmont.org.

Longmont Meals on Wheels
