Immigrants

• According to talking heads on National Public Radio, they said that America needs immigrants because its population is stagnating and we need immigrants to fill positions that people need filled, like caregivers and caregivers for senior centers and things like that. And we desperately need those young workers.

• I don’t think we have to worry too much about supporting or helping the poor immigrants. Last I looked around, they’re the only ones willing to work — often seven days a week for substandard wages and no benefits.

Successful Aging

I would just like to say thank you to the Times-call for sponsoring the Successful Aging Expo (Saturday) at the Longmont Museum. I attended. It was well worth it. People were very friendly, vendors were great, we learned a lot — nice speakers. So I want to say thank you for putting that on.

Common sense

For the person that said they had common sense: They might be over-valuating themselves just a bit.

School sports

The value of school sports is not that some schools win state championships or that some students are stars. The value is that many more students participate and they learn how to be teammates. They learn so many more things from participating in these sports, and they use their time more productively. And we need to value that. And the newspaper could do a much better job, just like the school district can do a better job in talking about that.

Running mates

To the person who thinks it doesn’t matter if a president lies, cheats or is a sexual pervert. I would guess you were a staunch Bill Clinton supporter. He did make cigars famous during his term. Maybe he and Monica can run together. Wouldn’t that be fun? If not, let’s talk Lightfoot and Bragg. Wouldn’t it be interesting to live life like we were in a daily crime show? You can enjoy living amongst the sexual perverts since they won’t be in jail.

Biden family

The Biden family and their associates created more than 20companies and received more than $10 million from foreign nationals during Joe’s time as vice president. Also Biden is (accused of being a) sexual predator, charges being made by a former employee. Essentially they are that Biden pushed her up against a wall, kissed her (and) penetrated her with his fingers without her consent in 1993. And these claims have been backed by witnesses who have collaborated her charge.
