Hate is a strong word

About the hate being pretty strong in the TC Line (Friday). Most of these people wouldn't know fascism, Nazism, socialism or totalitarianism if it jumped off the page and bit their nose off.

Invoking the 14th

If push comes to shove and Biden does have to invoke the 14th Amendment and ignore the debt ceiling, he'll have to do that if Republicans don't come together and pay our bills by raising taxes from the people who can pay more taxes, then I don't think Biden will have a choice.

Time to wake up

I'd like to comment on not following Mccarthy. I think you need to wake up and if you know how to read, read the newspapers. All the Republicans are behind Mccarthy. It's the Democrats that left early for the long weekend. The Republicans stayed to negotiate. The Democrats don't care because they want an open checkbook for sleepy Joe Biden to spend as much money as he wants. Look at all the wasteful spending that he's done with Ukraine. If you've got a brain in your head, you can figure out that his son Hunter Biden got all kinds of money from Ukraine years ago. So why do you think Joe Biden has an open checkbook to them? Wake up, learn how to read so you can read the newspaper.

Who's the fascist?

Way too much wingnut garbage being posted here as of late. Extremist purveyors of admitted liars accusing the Dems of fascism. Only one major party supports book banning, book burning. Only one major party wants to restrict voting rights of minorities, that wants to take away women's rights as well. Only one party embraces fascism. That would be today's GOP.

Home sweet home?

I wonder are there people who really like living in those Soviet bloc-type human warehouses, like the Hive at the bottom of Main Street, or have those folks just given up and take whatever developers build?

Everybody suffers

Thinking of Amanda Gorman's poem, it seems incredible to me in our country that one person can complain about a line in a poem being offensive, and then all of the students of the age of this person's child can't be able to read the poem. How about the mother doesn't allow her child to read the poem. Why does everyone else have to suffer?

Capitalism and kids

What is going on with our Colorado education system? They have come out with a statement saying that capitalism will harm the students, will harm the community. I don't know one teacher, not one that would agree with this statement. This is scary. I do not want communists teaching our kids.
