“Honk Jr.” performanc­e: 6 p.m., The Unitiive Theatre and Performing Arts School, 800S. Hover St., Longmont. Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingl­y outwitting a very hungry cat. Advent Art exhibition: 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, First Christian Church, 2000 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland. First Christian Church and Christos Collective will host an art exhibit centered around the theme of Advent, the four-week season in the Christian calendar dedicated to anticipati­ng the arrival of Jesus. Attendees can explore a diverse range of artworks that delve into the theme of Advent, which reflect various interpreta­tions and perspectiv­es on the subject matter. Pens, Prompts and Pizza teen writers’ group: 6p.m. Tuesday, Library, 409Fourth Ave., Longmont. Sixth-12th graders can spend some time putting pen to paper with other writing obsessed peers. Build worlds, refine character and create something great in a chill atmosphere. Once a month, the group will write from a prompt to get warmed up and then have free time to work on a piece of personal writing (and/or drawing for visual storytelle­rs). Pizza will be served. High Lonesome at Rosalee’s Pizzeria: 6 p.m. Wednesday, Rosalee’s Pizzeria, 461 Main St., Longmont. High Lonesome puts a new spin on traditiona­l, harddrivin­g bluegrass with a sound built around good pickin’ and tight two and three part vocal harmonies.
