Longmont police notes: Warrant arrest on Main Street
JASON SMITH >> So that is the lead in this post? The unspecified warrant arrest during a traffic stop and not the hostage situation previous to that with multiple agencies responding? Really helping newspapers like yours hasten towards dinosaur land.
In Boulder, demand for aquatic sports exceeds supply of pool space
LORRAINE BAXTER >> Displaced Boulder swimmers are coming to Longmont, so Boulder’s crowding issues are having a ripple effect.
CARLA STEPHANIE SOUTH >> And yet Longmont doesn’t think we need an additional rec center.
From my deck: Betty Heath: Seniors and electronics akin to oil and water
PAM BUDD GOODWIN >> I’m managing fine with computers. It’s the smart TV’S that are stupid.
MELISSA POPP >> Technology is great as long as it works. I remember those days of having a four-party line, and that was actually in 1990! I sometimes wish to go back to those days because things were much easier.
CHEYENNE MOONDANCER >> Not sure I appreciate the proliferation of this “boomer” stereotype that we older Americans are unable to grasp technology. I am 63 years old and work in a very challenging and competitive tech position. You can get this, I promise. It’s only as hard as you make it out to be.
Parkway Food Hall eyes May opening in Longmont
SABRINA WOOD >> Like Longmont needs another food court. They tore down the mall to make a food court, forcing people to go out … of town for shopping.
MT CHAISE >> Burgers, check! Taco/burritos, check! Shamrock and Sysco, check and check.
MARY HUSTON STRUTHERS >> Mod Market is right there, too.
Why Broomfield’s 1stbank Center is going out with a wrecking ball after just 17 years
DAVID SVRJCEK >> What a huge mistake.
KATHRYN KELLER >> What a total waste of taxpayer money!
ERIN TROUT >> What a waste of resources.
HAULIE COLEMAN >> 17 years? That’s practically new. Way to waste taxpayer money. They should use it to home events that used to be at the Denver merchandise mart that’s now gone, too.
Two transported to hospital following Boulder County rollover crash
THOMAS LAWSON >> 287 is a racetrack.
Longmont looks to launch microtransit service by summer
ZACHARY SYLVESTER NASON >> Third-party vendors (are) what’s wrong with the state’s microtransit vector anyways. … Literally didn’t make it to places, to getting a stalker, to the point of moving for safety. Keep public services, public operated. Hard pass unless it’s run by a public service.
SCOTT BRISCO >> Don’t do it. You’re just giving them something else to tax you on.
JIM WESTER >> Why not just use Lyft or Uber?
Ringtail rescued from Longmont home
LES BARSTOW >> Had this happen to me a couple of years ago. It somehow got in through our chimney. (We have pellet stoves, so not an open chimney.) We eventually had to relocate it with help from DPW as it insisted on coming back in.
ASHLEY JECHE >> I had one in my tree when I lived in Canon City!
BROOKELYNE DISTEFANO >> Wow. I’ve never seen one here! How cool.
MATT APPLEN >> Looks like a mix of a lemur and a ferret.
BRIANNA VIDAL >> The tail is so fluffy.
KOLTEN WAYNE HEIMANN >> It’s still in the raccoon family.
JOYCE MEYER >> Beautiful and interesting. Is this critter in the opossum family? I’ve never seen a ringtail
New Longmont park, new name: Fox Meadows Park
STEVEN SOUTH >> Oh, Fox Meadows. Way to step out of the norm on that one. I won’t get it confused with Fox “everything else” in town.
DAN PATRICK >> I take it “Meth Meadows,” “Hobo Hills” and “Tent Central Park” were all taken?
Four injured in multi-car crash on Colo. 66
NIKI ANDERSEN >> It’s the worst highway.
