Retail theft … Kerry Wheeler, 47, of the 7900 block of Temple Road, Philadelph­ia, was cited for retail theft Sept. 17 after taking goods valued at $44.91 from the Conway store, 23U5 W. Cheltenham Ave., around 10:40 a.m., police said.

Retail theft … Alisa v. Bullard, 43, of the 1500 block of East Walnut iane, Philadelph­ia, was cited for retail theft around 5 p.m. Sept. 17 after taking items valued at $139.U9 from Shop Rite, 23U5 W. Cheltenham­Ave., police said.

Burglaries … Two apartments at Bell Elkins Park in the 2300 block of Brookview Place were reported burglarize­d Sept. 17, with entry to both made by forcing the front door, police said. Jewelry, two laptop computers and an Apple desktop computer, valued at a total of about $7,4U5, were taken from one apartment between U a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 14, police said. A next door apartment was found ransacked with the front door kicked, but it was not immediatel­y known if anything was taken, police said.

Theft … A black, 6-foot-tall male with medium build, wearing jeans and a sweater, conned someone at Metro PCS, 23U5 W. Cheltenham Ave., out of $90 around 7:50 p.m. Sept. 17, police said. The man conned the victim into giving him a $100 bill instead of a $10 bill, police said.

Robbery … A man walking at Washington iane and Cheltenham Avenue at 11:05 p.m. Sept. 17 was held up by a man who threatened to shoot him, police said. The robber, described as a black male, early 20s, wearing a gray sweatshirt, shorts and tan boots, took $30 cash, a cellphone and various other items from the victim, police said.

Theft … An air-conditioni­ng unit, valued at $U00, was stolen between Sept. 14 and 19 from a residence in the 400 block of BeecherAve­nue, police said.

Simple assault … Three 17- to 1U-year-old male teens reportedly approached a female around 1:30 p.m. Sept. 1U in the 7700 block of Wagner Way and were harassing her and started pushing her and she tried, unsuccessf­ully, to use mace, after which one stuck her with a pencil and ran off, police said.

Robbery … A MacBook Pro laptop and black case were taken by a man who contacted the owner of the item via Craigslist with an offer to buy it, police said. The man met the victim at Cheltenham­Avenue and Broad Street, grabbed the computer and ran across Cheltenham and got into a tan 1999 Pontiac with PA license Hvu-1556 operated by another man, and left the area, police said. The vehicle was later located unoccupied by Philadelph­ia police, police said.

Burglary … Several watches, other jewelry and credit cards were taken from a home in the 100 block of vew Road during a Sept. 19 burglary, police said. The basement door was forced to gain entry and the bedrooms were ransacked, police said.

Fraud … A man was stopped after trying to cash a bad check for $65U from Fahy Marketing at the TD Bank, 23U5 W. Cheltenham Ave., around 2:45 p.m. Sept. 19, police said. The man said he got the check in the mail; an investigat­ion was continuing, police said.

Retail theft … Ralph Brown, 49, of the 700 block of East WoodlawnAv­enue, Philadelph­ia, was cited for retail theft around 4 p.m. Sept. 19 at Burlington Coat Factory, 23U5 W. Cheltenham Ave., after he was observed taking a black wallet, police said. Brown was also cited at 3:05 p.m. Sept. 22 at Burlington Coat Factory after he took $112.U4 worth of goods, police said.

Burglary … A 50-inch Panasonic flat-screen TV, valued at $2,000, and $100 in quarters were taken during a burglary reported at 4:20 p.m. Sept. 19 in the 200 block of Glenwood Road, police said.

Theft … A laptop computer was taken from a desk at Auch Printing, 11 S. Easton Road, Glenside, between 5 p.m. Sept. 19 and 9 a.m. Sept. 20, police said.

Simple assault … A 12-yearold boy will be cited as a juvenile for hitting another student in the head during a lunchtime fight Sept. 20 at the Cedarbrook Middle School, 300 iongfellow Road, police said.

Fraud … A resident reported Sept. 20 that the victim’s credit card informatio­n was used by an unknown person to charge a total of $3UU at three locations, police said.

Bike theft … Abrown Redline mountain bike, valued at $1,000, was stolen from outside Tobacco Town, 419 W. Cheltenham Ave., around 2:30 p.m. Sept. 20, police said. Surveillan­ce video shows a black male in his early 20s, wearing a black T-shirt and white basketball shorts with black stripes on the side, taking the bike, police said.

Stolen auto … Phillip Augustine, 22, of the 7600 block of Williams Way, was arrested at 6:35 p.m. Sept. 20 outside his home and charged with theft by unlawful taking after an officer observed him behind the wheel of a blue Ford F-150 that had been reported stolen, police said.

Vandalism … A resident of the 7600 block of Mountain Avenue reported that an unknown person broke a portion of a stained glass window on the front door to the home around 9 p.m. Sept. 20, police said.

Robbery … A restaurant employee standing outside Michael’s restaurant during a break around 2:45 a.m. Sept. 21 was robbed of his wallet and iPod by a man who stuck something in his back, police said. The robber was described as a heavyset black male wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black Timberland boots and a yellow ski mask, police said.

Fraud … A Cheltenham resident reported Sept. 21 receiving two bad checks for $3,924 for work found on CareerBuil­der. com, police said.

Retail theft … B. Julien Watson, 31, of the 3200 block of iivingston Street, Philadelph­ia, was charged with retail theft at 4:17 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Home Depot, 23U5 W. Cheltenham Ave., after taking $232.9U worth of goods, police said.

Fraud … A resident reported Sept. 22 being swindled out of $1,200 after sending money for a “sweepstake­s” win, police said.

Burglary … A home in the 400 block of Old Farm Road was found burglarize­d at 10:09 a.m. Sept. 22, police said. The rear door was forced to gain entry, but it was unknown what was taken, police said.

Theft … A resident reported Sept. 22 paying someone $500 for a TV that was never received, police said.

Retail theft … Two Kenwood car radios with speakers, valued at $2U0, were stolen around 7:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at Radio Shack, 23U5 W. Cheltenham­Ave., police said. Three men entered the store and while two distracted the employees, the third walked out with the items, police said.

Theft … A woman reported Sept. 23 that her wallet, containing $200, was taken from her purse while she was in Shop Rite, 23U5 W. Cheltenham Ave., between 6:15 and 6:40 p.m. Sept. 23, police said. church the bike was in the driveway and when she returned the bike was gone, police said. The bike was valued at $150, police said.
